Casa do Arrabalde

Casa do Arrabalde is the main house of an ancient farm, separated now from agricultural activities, the property still covers an area of 1,5ha, totally converted into gardens and integrated in the "Turismo no Espaço Rural" (Rural Tourism Scheme) of the Alto Minho region.

Open to guests since 1984, within the concept of "Turismo de Habitação" at the main house only, in 1994 the remaining buildings and grounds were converted to tourism, offering two cottages for four guests each.

Casa do Arrabalde is in a pleasant location, situated five minutes walking distance from the village of Ponte de Lima across the Roman bridge reserved for pedestrians. However, despite its proximity to the village, the property retains its original feel of a country house due to its spacious grounds.

100km.jpg    Ponte de Lima is right at the heart of the Minho, with Viana do Castelo beaches 25 km West, the Peneda Geres National Park 25 km East, Porto 100 km to the South, and the Spanish border only 50 km away.

The accommodation is open all year around, and there are 3 rooms in the main house (1 double, 2 twins) and two cottages, each with two twin rooms.
